Fall Fashion Trends 2013

As an Origami Owl Independent Designer, I think it is important to keep up on fashion trends. This way we can help our customers stay trendy, while also helping them build their story into heirloom pieces.

Our new Take Out Menu (catalog) for Fall will be released October 1st! I have seen some of the new items and I am so excited about the new items coming out in time for the Holidays!

So let's talk Fall trends. I am asked all the time about mixing metals...gold, silver, rose gold. And I can confirm that this is a must do trend! I've read articles in Cosmo and Lucky magazines on this trend. I love how our black lockets look with silver or gold. The chocolate locket with rose gold is delicious (in fact this combo is our September Hostess Reward).

The next Fall Trend is layering necklaces. Origami Owl jewelry is perfect for this because the pieces are made to go together and look great together. Or you can layer them with pieces you already have. When layering, balance out your pieces by using different chain lengths and thickness. Wear your locket on a thin, short chain, and layer with a longer oval link chain and a chunky dangle. Or get the same chain length in different metals and wear them together.

The third big jewelry trend for Fall is pendants. Dangles make perfect pendants when worn alone, and you can easily switch them out every day. You can also wear them in combination, think grown up charm necklace.
