Vision Boards

I received this in my email today:

"From The Secret Daily Teachings
Be creative and use powerful actions in line with what you want. If you want to attract the perfect partner, then make room in your closet. If you want to attract a new house, then tidy up your current house so it is ready for easy packing. If you want to take a trip then get out your suitcases, surround yourself with pictures of the location, and put yourself in the pictures.
Think about what you would do if you had your desire, and then take creative actions that make it clear you are receiving it now.
May the joy be with you,
Rhonda Byrne"

Vision boards are a way for you to map out your desires in life. They have become a very popular tool over the past few years. Movies like The Secret talk about how you can use vision boards to manifest the things that you want in life. For example if you want to take a trip, make a vision board of your ideal vacation and put yourself in the picture. If you want a better job, make a vision board of yourself doing your dream job.

To make a standard vision board, people typically cut out images from magazines, glue them to poster board then add pictures of themselves. The reminder of your goals and visualizing yourself already accomplishing those goals helps to make your dreams become a reality. This technique is often used by motivational speakers as well who will tell you to write down the things you want in life and then take time each day imagining that you have already reached those goals.

Vision boards can be done in a number of ways...you can encompass several goals (more money, travel, love), have one general theme (a particular trip, a life partner, a new job), or have an "opening and allowing" vision board.  The last vision board is used in cases where you may be feeling down and not sure why...in this case you would just choose things that make you feel happy.

I myself used vision boards. I had a good job, financial independence, I had traveled, made friends, and had a lot of fun...but I was ready for a family. So on my vision board I drew a stick figure family...my family. I listed the qualities I wanted in my future partner. One might say it was just my time to start a family, but within a year I found love and started my little family.

But I have a twist on this idea that I would like to share with you. I will admit, this was not my original idea. It was brought up at our O2 National Convention and I thought it was brilliant. Since Origami Owl jewelry is customizable...why not create a Living Locket Vision Board that you can wear everyday and have it always with you, manifesting your goals and dreams.

I put a few simple ideas together, but with our selection of charms, dangles, and Tags you can create any number of combinations to make your vision board locket. And if you need help, I am always available to help you pick the perfect charms to represent your visions. Message me on Facebook and I will gladly assist you. Or if you want to go through the charms on your own, here is my Web Site.

For this first vision locket...I was thinking of love of course! Finding that perfect partner. Maybe you want a partner who loves family, sports (or is physically fit), and you!

To me this vision represents hope. Knowing that sometimes there are bad things that happen to us, or the people we love, yet good things can come of it (yin and yang) and having faith that you will over come that bad thing or situation.

For this one, I chose the faith plate as a reminder to have faith in yourself that you will accomplish your goals. Maybe those goals are inner peace, love (from others or yourself), and travel or beaches (flip flops).

O2 Experience - National Convention

What a weekend! So much fun! We had our first ever Origami Owl National Convention in Phoenix, AZ. We were loaded up with so much information!!! Not only did we learn about the business, but also got a Fall product sneak peek complete with....wait for it.....give aways of new stuff!!! It was so exciting! We also had a lot of fun with a White Party (everyone dressed in white) and a beautiful gala night and awards ceremony. We met many awesome people and we were the first to hear about some up coming plans. It was also very exciting because my very first DIW (designer in waiting) was invited to the company! Yeay!

If you are looking for a great home business, this truly is an awesome company to be a part of. I love the flexibility and that I will get back what I put in. If you think this might be something for you, join my team! I'm a great mentor and can't wait to grow in the company! The company mission is "to be a force for good" and I feel that in all I do. Who doesn't want to feel great about doing something they love and giving back at the same time? AND...there is an excellent opportunity for the younger generation to get started in skills that last a life time, meaning... Origami Owl allows girls as young as 14 to be designers (with a parent of course). These are skills that will be so important in the future. Our own founder, Bella, was 14 when she started the company...looking for a way to make enough money to buy a car. Last year, she got her car (well she got a Jeep)...and this year, she gave one away to a designer at convention. :)

A Few of My Favorites

Of course I LOVE my locket, and I always change it up with different dangles and charms and chains...and layering...
But there are other locket combos, dangles, and Tags I love too...here are a few of my favorites :)

If you like any of these, let me know and we can create one just for you! Check out my Web Site or message me on my Facebook page.

Push present, new mom gift, baby shower gift, something for the mom who has a few kids (I'm thinking putting all the kids birthstones in there).
Police, Fire, Nurse...there are so many occupation charms that can be used to show your love and appreciation.

Baseball, basketball, football, soccer...so many other sports to choose from! And add accent stones with the team colors or your favorite player's number!

I love country music! But this can be done with other types of music as well

Weddings!!! Planning a Fall wedding? How about and "in memory of" locket for the special people that can't be there in person? Or a locket dedicated to your love story.
And I can help you pick out perfect bridesmaid gifts!
For the runner! My mom wold love this. The pink shoe is not available now, but the running shoe is now black.
I live in Louisiana...celebrate Mardi Gras with an awesome locket!

Not only is this awesome for a love story, but what about a family story? One locket for each child that can be passed on to them later.
Best friends forever! Best friend necklaces for grown up taste!
I don't think these Tags need any explanation...they are all awesome statements that maybe we need to be reminded of once in a while. :)

Back to School Teacher Gifts!

It's back to school time! Wouldn't these make perfect gifts for special teachers? They could be customized with the school colors, school initials, the possibilities are endless!!!
